Common Cold Can Kick out Covid

According to the researchers, the virus which causes the common cold has enough capability to boot covid. Yes, you heard it right. Some viruses can compete with the novel covid-19 especially those who cause infection. Common Cold Can Kick out Covid.

The University of Glasgow scientist says that rhinovirus could surpass covid. In case if you don’t know what rhinovirus is let me tell you that it is the most common viral infection agent that causes the common cold. However, the benefits are not long term but still, rhinovirus could trump covid.

Our nose throat lungs are made up of cells, right? Let suppose each cell as a house like a row of houses inside the human body. Once the virus finds the gate open it gets in and has the power to either close the door or keep it open to let other viruses come in. There are different kinds of viruses some love to share the house with others while some are the most selfish and do not want anyone along. Influenza is considered as the most selfish virus which always infects the body alone and does not let any other virus come in. However, the virus which leads to covid is Sars-coV-2 that can easily fit into the virus world of interactions. Due to the social distancing scientists find it hard to study on the covid.

Well, the team at a virus research center in Glasgow made an experiment to check the longevity of rhinovirus and sars-coV-2. For that purpose, they used an airway replica created with the same lining cells and make it infected with both viruses. Both are no doubt the most widespread infections around the globe. According to the research if both viruses releases at the same time inside the human body only rhinovirus wins the race and settles down inside. In fact, if rhinovirus starts even 24 hours before then Sars-Cov-2 will never let in the body. However, if the Sars-Cov-2 head starts 24 hours still the rhinovirus had enough power to boot it out.

Dr. Pablo stated that “Sars-Cov-2 can strongly be inhibited by rhinovirus. That means if you have a high prevalence of catching rhinovirus then Sars-Cov-2 infection will not get in because rhinovirus could stop the infection causes by Sars-Cov-2″

Additionally, another experiment shows that rhinovirus triggers the immune response in body cells which gets affected that in return blocked the ability of Sars-Cov-2 to make any copies.
