Gatik and Isuzu North America cooperation

Silicon Valley startup Gatik and Isuzu North America reported on Tuesday that they will cooperate to produce self-driving delivery vehicles for Gatik’s retail customers.

Gatik is working with Walmart in Arkansas and Louisiana, and Loblaw in Canada, using self-driving trucks with safety drivers to transport goods. As the epidemic boosted grocery store sales, the company’s business has grown substantially.

What Gautam Narang Say?

Gautam Narang, co-founder and CEO of Gatik, said that the company’s current business model is to provide delivery services to retailers that use autonomous driving technology, rather than selling the technology to automakers.

Shaun Skinner Statement

Shaun Skinner, head of Isuzu’s North American commercial truck division, said that the cooperation between Isuzu and Gatik is limited to the United States and Canada, and Isuzu will provide engineering support for Gatik to transform its N-series medium-duty trucks.
