Singapore considers travel without quarantine to start in September Deregulation of behavior in August

The Singaporean government announced on the 26th that it is considering allowing those who have completed vaccination with the new coronavirus vaccine to enter the country without quarantine from September. The country is expected to complete vaccination by 80% of its population around September.

Treasury Minister Wong said he would establish a travel corridor with countries and regions where the infection had subsided, exempting people from those countries and regions from quarantining or allowing them to quarantine their homes.

In early August, when two-thirds of the vaccinations are expected to be completed, we plan to consider whether to relax behavioral restrictions to prevent the spread of the infection. Treasury Minister Wong said, “Deregulation is expected to be limited to those who have completed vaccination with strong protection against the virus. If you want to eat at a restaurant or exercise at the gym, you have to stop the vaccine.”
